Who We Are

Prairie Appliance Repair is a locally operated repair service serving the Fargo-Moorhead metro.

We’ve been fixing appliances in Fargo long enough to know what this area does to machines. The water here is moderately hard to hard, and it wears out heating elements, clogs dishwasher spray arms, and leaves scale buildup on refrigerator water filters faster than most places in the country. We factor that in. We know how Fargo’s hard water affects dishwashers, washers and ice makers, and we check for mineral buildup on every visit.

What Makes Us Different

We work on Samsung and LG every week, including their inverter compressors, control boards and error codes. Those brands have proprietary control boards and inverter motors that require specific diagnostic tools and updated firmware knowledge. We’ve invested in that. If your Samsung refrigerator is throwing a 5E error or your LG washer won’t spin, we can diagnose and fix it — no runaround.

We also understand Fargo winters in a way that out-of-state repair guides don’t. Dryer vents ice over when temperatures drop below -10°F and your exhaust duct runs through an uninsulated exterior wall. Refrigerators and freezers stored in garages can stop cooling when ambient temps fall too low and the compressor shuts off. These are real Fargo problems, and we know how to solve them.
